Simulation of golf. Use irons, a chipper, and a putter to get the ball from
the
tee to the hole. Holes always different, keeps track of par and your score.

| Golf 2.0 by Brian Hill (bhill@qm.choate.edu), an updated version of Golf
by
| Pat Milheron of the TI Graphics Team. Created March 95.
One of the few sports simulators available for TI graphing calculators.
 Choose
either 9 or 18 holes to play. Each hole is randomly generated, and will have
a
par between 3 (100 yards) and 5 (400 yards). The game will keep track of
total
par and your score so you will know how well you did when you finish. The
main
picture shows the ball, the hole, the outline of the green, and the yardage
from
the ball to the hole.
Press enter to access the options menu, where you can choose to view the
picture again, see the wind direction and speed, aim your shoot, pick a new
club,
or hit the ball. The wind influences the flight of your ball, so pay
attention to the
speed and direction of it at all times. Choose aim to aim your shot.
 Remember
to guess the effects of the wind and adjust your shot accordingly. To pick a
new
club, choose club. You have a choice of 3 irons, a chipper, and a putter.
 Finally,
when you are ready to hit the ball, choose shoot. This will bring up a bar
that is
slightly similar to the shooting bar in Microsoft Golf. Hit enter to swing
your club
back, and when you think you have achieved the proper height (the higher you
swing, the more power you get), press enter again. The bar will go back
toward
the "hitting box". Hitting inside of this box results in a straight shot(not
considering
the wind) while hitting to either side will result in a hook or a slice. If
you want the
maximum amount of power, do not press enter on the up swing; when the bar
hits
the end, it will automatically bounce back.

Once on the green, you may use your putter. The wind does not effect your
shots
on the green. To finish the hole, you must get the ball within 1 yard of the
hole. At
the end of your 9 or 18 hole game, it will display the number of holes
played, the
total par, and your score. Enjoy this game on all the rainy days you can't
go out
and play a real game of golf.
